Carnegie Cottage is a typical Victorian stone cottage dating from the end of the 19th century and retains many original features including cast iron fireplaces, internal shutters and cornicing, but with central heating and all the modern day comforts you expect of a holiday home.

We are in a quiet residential location near to countryside, parkland and historic sites, yet just a few minutes walk to Dunfermline town centre, with a wide selection of shops and dozens of restaurants and cafes to suit all tastes and budgets. There is a corner shop for basic provisions just two minutes walk from the cottage.

The living room is provided with a TV, DVD player, CD player, radio, Wireless Broadband Internet Access. Bring your own laptop or we can supply a desktop PC for your use. Lots of books of local interest.

There is a spacious main bedroom. Want a lie in then close the internal wooden shutters as well as the curtains so you won't be disturbed by the early morning sunshine.

The Second Bedroom is supplied with adult size bunk beds, the window overlooking the garden.

The kitchen is equipped with an electric cooker, fridge/freezer, microwave, electric kettle, toaster, etc. There is a washing machine with integral dryer, iron and ironing board.

The Shower Room has an instant electric shower with the washbasin and WC conveniently located in the adjacent room thus avoiding those interminable waits for people to finish showering.

The Garden is south facing for catching the sun, with patio, lawn and a biodiverse area with mature trees for watching the bird life.
There is Free Parking on the quiet residential road outside the cottage.

Dunfermline as well as having lots of historic buildings of its own to visit, is very centrally located for visiting many of the other historic towns of Scotland, our coast and beautiful hilly countryside, whether travelling by car or using public transport.
