The Old Rectory North is a wing of a 500 year old grade II historic Elizabethan rectory. The owners live on the estate in the South wing of The Old Rectory, with its separate accommodation and private gardens.

The whole of The Old Rectory is set in a very secluded location, with unsurpassed panoramic views over the River Avon, Bredon Hill and The Malvern Hills.

As a self-catering holiday destination The Old Rectory North, boasts a wealth of charm, character and its own extensive garden. Quintessentially English; the perfect retreat for rest and relaxation, or as an ideal base for exploring The Cotswolds.

As you approach The Old Rectory, via its secluded driveway, you will discover it set beside Strensham Church being surrounded by hundreds of acres of farm land, putting you into holiday mood from the outset.

Inside you will be surprised by the spacious, fully equipped, eleven roomed accommodation, enthralled by the profusion of old beams and wowed by the stunning four poster beds. Relax and watch the boats go by as you sip your complementary wine, taking in the panoramic vista and tranquillity.

Alternatively by special arrangement you may wish to charter Narnia II, a 30ft narrow boat, moored at the property; try your hand at operating the lock gates at Strensham and meander to the nearby Riverside Pub, or cruise on to take in afternoon tea at historic Tewkesbury.

Back inside The Old Rectory you can always find a room with a view, a new place to sit and relax away from the rest of the family perhaps, just curling up with a good book.

There's the main sitting room with huge , stretch out, comfy sofas and latest flat screen LCD TV, with access to an extensive private DVD film library of 300 titles.

Then there's the cosy snug with more sofas and holiday novels to hand, or perhaps try the unusual mezzanine area, where you can have a quiet game of backgammon.

Dine out at the many locations that can be arranged for you, or eat in your own separate dining room and, depending on the weather, light the log burner, or throw open the French doors to your private patio and garden.

The location is perfection itself, offering unusual ease of accessibility in an idyllic setting. A great base for exploring the Cotswolds, or getting quickly onto the motorway network.

On the other hand, you might fancy taking to the local footpaths, leaving your car behind. Whether cycling or horse riding in the network of country lanes, you can explore the numerous local country pubs, offering home cooked food; you will be spoilt for choice.

For lots of information about the locality and places to go, see our attractions or local area tabs on owners website (link above).
