The Isle of Wight Zoo, Brown's Golf Course and Sandham Gardens are approximately 10 minutes walking distance west of the park.
Sandown's centre, with its pier and selection of shops and restaurants, is about a further 5-10 minute walk along the promenade. For lovers of walking, Culver Down - with its monument, cafe and pub - can be reached eastwards along the coastal path.
Our Holiday Chalet is family run and located at Riviera Park, Sandown Bay (formerly Sandown Bay Holiday Centre). The site - adjacent to a National Trust designated Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty - is situated on the cliffs at the eastern end of Sandown Bay between Yaverland and the Red Cliff and boasts views of Culver Down and its monument.
The well established, secluded site is made up of purpose built, single-story, terraced, self-catering chalets all of which face on to a safe grassed area, thus making the site ideal for families or those just seeking a little peace and quiet.
Our chalet, which caters for four, is double-glazed, well equipped, and has been recently redecorated so as to offer a high standard of accommodation to our visitors. It comprises of:
Bedroom 1: with double bed, fitted wardrobe and chest of drawers, bedside tables and lamps, electric convector heater and hair dryer.
Bedroom 2: with full-sized pine bunk beds, wardrobe, chest of drawers, bedside lamp and electric convector heater.
Bathroom: with wash basin, toilet, full-sized bath and electric shower over.
Open-plan living/kitchen area: the kitchen is newly fitted and is equipped with an electric oven and hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, kettle, toaster, cafetière and usual kitchen utensils. The living area consists of dining table and chairs, sofa, television, digibox and DVD player.
Bed linen, iron and ironing board, vacuum cleaner, folding garden chairs and buckets and spades are also provided. There is a launderette on-site and a rotary clothes line is located on the grass behind the chalet.
Electricity is provided via a £1 coin operated meter.

Smoking Allowed: No. Linen Provided: Yes. Linen is provided for all beds and tea towels are provided in the kitchen. Central Heating: No. Fuel type: Electric Open Fire: No. Disabled Facilities: Yes. The chalet is all on one level; there is however, a small step from the pathway into the property. Outdoor Facilities: Yes. There is a safe area of grass outside front of the chalet, inaccessible by cars, for recreational purposes. Local Services: Riviera Park is located at the eastern end of Sandown Bay and has close access to the beach and Yaverland Cafe via the coastal path which runs adjacent to the site. Wightlink Car Ferry, Portsmouth - Fishbourne: Turn right out of ferry terminal onto Fishbourne Lane. Upon reaching the traffic lights turn left onto the A3054, signposted to Ryde. Follow this road through Binstead, crossing two mini-roundabouts until you reach a second set of traffic lights; continue straight on here and take the first turning on the left following signposts for 'through traffic'. Follow this road, going straight over three sets of traffic lights until you reach a T-junction where you will find a St. John's Church to your right. Turn right at this junction and then right again at the mini-roundabout onto the A3055, following signposts for Sandown. Continue straight over at the next set of traffic lights and straight on again at the roundabout adjacent to Tesco. Follow the road over a further set of traffic lights and through Brading. After Brading, turn left at the first set of traffic lights (passing the Yarbridge Inn on your right). Follow this road over the bridge and up the hill; upon reaching a mini-roundabout, turn right onto Yaverland Road where Riviera Park, signposted as Sandown Bay Holiday Centre, is to be found on the left in just over ½ mile. |
