Courtyard Cottage is a grade ll listed two bedroom annexe to Plaistow Barton farmhouse. Having recently purchased Plaistow Barton we have worked hard to make Courtyard Cottage a fantastic place for you to spend your holiday. The cottage is furnished with brand new furnishings and equipment for 2009.

Guests now have use of nearby Indoor Heated Swimming Pool - For a small fee guests will be able to use the swimming pool of a small holiday complex (North Hill) just 5 minutes drive away.

Plaistow Barton is located in farming countryside, accessed by a private track and surrounded by wonderful views with the nearest villages being Shirwell or Muddiford.

While the house is set very much in the beautiful countryside with great walking, it is only 10 minutes by car to the nearby market town of Barnstaple. Also close by is Exmoor, famous for its beast and of course great walking.

Just a short drive away are some of the countries finest beaches including Croyde, Woolacombe, Saunton Sands, Combe Martin, Putsborough & Ilfracombe. More locally and just 2 miles down the road is Blakewell Fisheries which caters for family fishing as well as fly fishing for the more experienced angler.

Broomhill Art Hotel and sculpture gardens are close by for fine dining or alternatively enjoy the local hospitality of the Muddiford Inn after a walk from the house or a five minute drive.

The Cottage makes a great base for a holiday either with or without children. It has its own parking for two vehicles leading to your private entrance into your lounge/kitchen. The lounge has a large inglenook fireplace above which is a listed plaster plaque dating back to 1679.

Courtyard Cottage is available all year round.

Our change over day is Saturday and arrival is from 3.00pm (for late arrivals please let us know). Departure by 10.30am.

The prices are calculated as follows:
3 nights calculated at 75% of relevant weekly rate.
4 nights calculated at 80% of relevant weekly rate.
5 nights calculated at 85% of relevant weekly rate.

If you wish for a short break during peak season we are happy to accept, if we have availability and if you book less than three weeks before the date.

Please email, telephone or visit our website to check availability of your preferred date. On confirmation of availability, please print out and complete the booking form and return it to us with your deposit cheque. Your reservation will be held for 5 days. The receipt of your deposit will secure your holiday. A deposit of 25% of rental is required if your booking is more than 6 weeks before your holiday date otherwise full payment will be required. Full payment is required at least 4 weeks before your holiday.
