The lodge is very well sited with uninterrupted views across the golf course and countryside. The lodge is very spacious and well equipped to accommodate 6 adults in comfort. The lounge features two three seater brown leather sofas, coffee table, 32 inch LCD digital flat screen TV with integral Freeview receiver and a high definition DVD player; 2 full height picture windows and sliding patio doors lead on to a large decked area with extending teak table and 6 chairs for alfresco dining.
The dining room has an oak style dining table with 6 leather high backed dining chairs. There is also a CD and radio music system to provide background music while you enjoy breakfast, lunch or dinner.
A modern and very well equipped kitchen with built in electric oven and ceramic hob, dishwasher, fridge, separate freezer, externally vented extractor hood, microwave, coffee maker, toaster, kettle, full complement of cutlery, crockery, glasses, utensils, pots and pans. New for Easter 2009, a washer/dryer.
Master bedroom, king size bed topped with a layer of luxury memory foam, dressing table, bedside drawers, full height wardrobe. With a contemporary en-suite shower room, toilet and wash bowl. 2 further twin bedded rooms and a family bathroom. All bedrooms have wardrobes, bedside units with lights and drawers/dressing tables.
The outside decking features a teak table and chairs and a luxurious six-person hydrotherapy spa tub for that extra special touch.
Hartland Forest is set in a glorious location offering an ideal setting for enjoying truly relaxing holidays. Located off the North Atlantic Highway between Bideford and Bude, the park is set on a 114 acre site, amidst unspoilt rolling countryside and moorland.

There's truly dramatic sea and coastal landscapes and some of the finest cliff top walks to be found anywhere. For peace and really inspiring scenery the Hartland area will certainly not disappoint you with magnificent unspoilt countryside, virtually untouched by development, providing idyllic walking and sightseeing. The dramatic National Trust coastline around Hartland and picturesque fishing villages and coves of Clovelly and Bucks Mills are less than 5 miles distant. Wide sandy surfing beaches at Bude or Westward Ho! and the historic port, shopping and antiques centre of Bideford are also just a short, scenic drive away. A trip on the "Oldenburg" to Lundy Island is also a popular day out. For children, the area has an abundance of attractions such as The Milky Way and The Big Sheep. The water sports centre at Tamar Lakes offers sailing, windsurfing and canoeing. There are many character pubs and a good choice of quality restaurants nearby. Our guests are welcome to use the excellent private leisure facilities of Penstowe Manor, including indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, jacuzzi, tennis, badminton and squash courts* On site our guests at Hartland Forest are welcome to wander through the woodland copses, along the river bank and enjoy the abundant wildlife, with birds, ducks, geese and otters; you may even see the occasional wild deer making an appearance. A footpath from the site gives access to the adjacent countryside and the 1000 acres of Hartland Forest. The picturesque and well maintained 18 hole golf course with extensive water hazards offers a good test for golfers of all abilities but still presents an interesting challenge to experienced low handicap enthusiasts, guests are also able to take advantage of the fishing lakes, tennis courts and for the younger ones, there is a children's play area. The location is great for exploring all the best that North Devon and Cornwall have to offer, with some lovely safe sandy beaches nearby, many stunning coves and coastal walks along the South West coastal path, wildlife havens, historic sites, superb gardens, cycling, golfing, fishing, water sports and many attractions for the kids big and small, there really is something for everyone here. | |||

From junction 27 of the M5: Take the North Devon Link Road (A361), bypass the town of Barnstaple on to the A39 towards Bideford and Bude. Cross the bridge at Bideford, bypassing the town and continuing towards Bude. Pass through Fairy Cross, Horns Cross and Bucks Cross and at Clovelly Cross, a roundabout with adjacent garage, continue straight on towards Bude. Four miles from this point you will come to the brow of a hill on Bursdon Moor, turn left signposted for Hartland Forest Golf Club. (note the sign post is almost right on the junction) Follow this road for just over one and a half miles, ignore the sharp right bend and carry straight over (bear slightly to the left) the small junction signposted Hartland Forest, continue for 300 yards until you reach the entrance on your right. |
