Scales View Cottages are located in the Lake District. They are well maintained and equipped.

Scales View Cottages are part of a stone built barn sympathetically converted into 2 three bedroom and 1 two bedroom cottages, each immaculately presented and very well equipped, with double glazing. You can enjoy fell views from most rooms.

Situated in an imposing position at the foot of Blencathra, with stunning views across the valley to Threlkeld Common and Clough Head, this property is ideally located to walk the Blencathra and Skiddaw range and within easy access of Keswick, with its many amenities, Borrowdale and Ullswater.

The White Horse Inn sits immediately behind the property and Threlkeld village is 1 mile away with 2 more pubs each serving bar meals.


With oil-fired central heating and double glazing, the property comprises on the Ground Floor:

Lounge/kitchen/diner: Open plan with colour TV, DVD, video, CD/ radio. The kitchen area has electric oven and hob, fridge, freezer, washer/dryer, dishwasher and microwave.

Shower room: With shower cubicle, WC and hand basin.

Lower ground floor:
Bedroom 1: Double bedroom.
Bedroom 2: Twin bedroom.

Bathroom: With shower over bath, WC and hand basin.

Hallway: With door to patio.
First Floor Bedroom 3: Double bedroom. All bed linen and fuel provided. Cot available.

Outside there is a patio and use of a shared BBQ and picnic area. Ample parking available. This property is close to the A66.

Scales View No 3 can be let on its own or together with Scales View No 1 & No 2 to accommodate up to 16 people.

This property will accept short breaks all year round, irrespective of when they are booked except for Christmas and New Year, as long as they don't cross over a 2 week period.

Nearest Town: Keswick, Nearest Town Distance: 5 miles, Shops Distance: 5 miles, Restaurant Distance: 5 miles, Pub Distance: 50 yards, Nearest Lake: Derwentwater, Nearest Lake Distance: 5 1/2 miles, Railway Station: Penrith, Railway Station Distance: 13 miles.

Windermere and Ambleside are both just a short journey away making this the ideal place to see all of the Lake District.

If a busier pace is sought Penrith is 15 miles away and the historic city of Carlisle approx 27 miles.

Directions

The nearest junction serving the North Lakes from either the North or South is J40 of the M6.
After leaving the M6 take the A66 signposted Keswick, travel along the dual carriageway over Troutbeck Scales View is the large stone barn situated to th left of the A66 approx 12 miles from M6.
