This cozy cottage has a courtyard garden, with bench and table nestling amongst the old Lime kiln. The lounge has an open fire, sofa and dining table and chairs lovely for a romantic night in. TV/DVD and radio, CD player.
There is a newly refitted country style kitchen with electric cooker and fridge freezer. From the kitchen the stairway leads to the bathroom with WC bath with shower over and basin.
There is a large double bedroom with hanging space and a window with views to the river. The cottage is heated in all rooms by night storage heaters. There is ample off street parking.
Beautiful walks can be had along the banks of the river Fowey, which runs through the town and under the old packhorse bridge, or meander up to the 12th century Restormel Castle.
Regular farmers markets, antique fairs and auctions can be found in this busy little town; it's an ideal base for walking, golfing and exploring the Cornish coastline. The Eden Project is just 6 miles by car and both North and South coasts are easily accessible.
Come and soak up the history, relax and enjoy the surroundings.

Directions By road from M5 Take A30 towards Bodmin Turn off to Bodmin then turn left to Liskeard A38 just past Nissan garage T junction turn left A38 Roundabout turn left Roundabout 3rd exit to Lostwithiel Roundabout turn left Next village is Sweetshouse drive through, keep straight on (you can turn left signed Lostwithiel this is a bit winding) main road goes up hill and then you hit the main A390 road turn left into Lostwithiel At traffic lights turn right into Fore Street (shops)to the Co-Op then turn Right, past the Quay. As the road bends to the left turn up lane that runs along by the garage. The cottage is tucked behind the garage Duchy Motors, go behind it. First on the right is parking area for No 14. The cottage is in the far corner. By road from Plymouth Take the A38 towards Bodmin After Dobwalls take the A390 to Lostwithiel/St.Austell In Lostwithiel at traffic lights turn left (shops) At bottom opposite the Co- Op turn right. Past the Quay and then take a small turning that runs along the side of the Duchy Garage. The first parking area is for No 14, the cottage is in the far corner. By Rail Lostwithiel is on main line between Paddington to Penzance. |
