Our self-catering Northumberland cottages, each accommodating 2 or 4 people, and combining well for groups of 6 to 10 people have open fires, en-suite bathrooms, bespoke kitchens and antique furniture - beautifully put together to make a cosy and restful retreat.

Come here to unwind and do as much or as little as you like. There is plenty to keep you occupied in this beautiful area:
* Long walks in stunning nature reserves
* Relaxing in the local pub
* Browsing in the tempting local shops
* Learn a new hobby
* Breathtaking beaches

Our Northumberland cottages were developed from an 18th century byre and granary using Charles's skills as an engineer and Dee's creative background in fashion and textile design.

Their work sympathetically retains many original features and the historic feel of the place combined with very comfortable and high spec modern building design.

All three cottages form part of one traditional Northumbrian sandstone building, with a paved patio area outside including original feed troughs overflowing with cottage flowers.

Each cottage has its own front door leading into its open plan ground floor space. The parking area is immediately beside the cottages.
These are very comfortable and cosy houses that work equally well individually or taken together to accommodate larger groups.

From the South:

* Leave the A1(M) at junction 58, and take the A68 to Corbridge, the route bypasses Corbridge, (though you can go that way if you wish; quite a good "8 till late" Co-op, off licence & various places to eat, only 15 minutes from your destination)
* Carry on up the A68 to Stagshaw Roundabout.
* Where there is a pub called the Errington Arms, here you head North still on the A68 for about 6 miles and turn left, signposted Hexham.
* Travel 1.4 miles and turn right, signposted Barrasford.
* At the tee junction turn right and go 1 miles through Barrasford then you turn right to Gunnerton.
* The cottages are on the right in the middle of the village just past the phone box.

From the North:

* Take the A68 south, taking care to stay with it where it joins the A696 shortly after Rochester.
* From this junction travel 12.9 miles then turn right, marked Barrasford Park (this turn off can easily be missed)
* Follow this road for about 2 miles into the village of Gunnerton, the cottages are on the left, the turning just before the phone box.

From the West:

* Take the A69 almost as far as Hexham.
* Take the A6079 to Acomb, go through Acomb, then Wall, go straight over the crossroads.
