Detached period 4 bedroom cottage centrally located in a popular village, yet offering a good degree of privacy. The historic village of Cerne Abbas has been voted one of the prettiest in the country and offers three public houses, tea rooms and village stores.

It is also home to the famous 180 foot Cerne Giant, carved centuries ago into the hillside.

The accommodation comprises a drawing room with exposed oak floorboards and features a working inglenook fireplace, sitting room with television, DVD and PlayStation.

Farmhouse kitchen with original flagstone flooring, table for seating 8, dishwasher, fridge/freezer, Aga and microwave, utility room with washing machine and tumble dryer and downstairs cloakroom.

On the first floor there are 2 double bedrooms, 1 twin room and 1 bunk room. There is a bathroom that is larger than average and an enclosed shower to the Master bedroom.

Outside the property is approached through electric gates with a driveway for several cars

The large gardens are just under 1 acre and mainly laid to lawn, featuring a walled rose garden.

There is a wooden playhouse, basketball net, and an enclosed trampoline.

Cerne Abbas lies within a 15 minute drive to Sherborne and Dorchester and is within half an hour of the stunning Jurassic coastline and Weymouth which will be hosting the sailing for the Olympic 2012. Ideal for families, groups of friends or couples for a romantic getaway. Short breaks available, and longer winter lets available.
