Russet Cottage is a 300 year old 3 storey, oak beamed, terraced stone cottage, in a courtyard setting in the centre of Kington, a pretty Welsh Border market town in one of the least spoiled parts of England.

This is excellent walking, cycling and riding country, close to Hay on Wye (with its endless book shops),the Black Mountains and Brecon Beacons. The Offas Dyke long distance path runs through the town and is only a five minute walk from the cottage.

Herefordshire is steeped in history and the area is rich in historic towns, ancient buildings and 'Black and White' villages. Hereford Cathedral is the home of the famous 'Mappa Mundi' and 'Chained Library'.

The cottage is a cosy, gas centrally heated one bedroom stone cottage, with easy access to the many local pubs (more than 10) and shops whilst being ideally placed for your enjoyment of the Welsh border area.

The cottage sleeps 2 plus 2 and consists of a large ground floor kitchen/dining room, second floor lounge with double futon sofa bed, and top floor double bedroom and a bathroom with separate shower and bath.

All bed linen, towels and a selection of toiletries are provided. Gas and electricity are also included in the rental. Sorry no smoking or pets.

A welcome pack of biscuits, milk, tea and coffee will be supplied for your convenience.
