Broadgate Farm is in the East Riding of Yorkshire where the Yorkshire Wolds meets Holderness. This county is full of hidden tourist gems, there is so much to do here that you could stay for a month and do something different every day! Broadgate Farm is ideally located with all of the local attractions within easy reach. Unlike many UK holiday destinations there is just as much to do here whatever the weather or time of year.
We now have two cottages available each of which sleeps 4 in two bedrooms. Both cottages also have space for a travel cot or put up bed.
THE FORGE
Originally the Blacksmiths shop and now extended The Forge is a two bedroom holiday cottage overlooking our wildlife pond & Blackmeredale Bottom. It has been skilfully converted into superb accommodation, all the modern comforts but with the character of bygone days.
Downstairs the sitting room has a wood burning stove and the Dining Kitchen has french windows out onto the patio. There is also a downstairs cloakroom of the hall. Upstairs there is one double bedroom & one twin room and a bathroom with bath & shower over.
THE STABLES
A delightful cottage with a semi open plan living area, the sitting room has a double height ceiling, oak floors, beams and a wood burning stove. There is a kitchen and dining area. Also on the ground floor is a bedroom that can be configured either as a twin or an extra king room and a stunning wet-room.
Upstairs there is a king bedroom and a bathroom with bath and separate shower.
All interiors have been individually designed using natural materials, quality furnishings and sumptuous fabrics. Kitchens are well appointed with fridges, electric oven, gas hob, washer dryer & microwave. We have stayed in many holiday cottages over the years and we have tried to supply your cottage with all that you may need.
Electricity and heating are included in the price you pay for your holiday cottages, downstairs there is underfloor heating with radiators to the upper floor. The heating is powered by geothermal ground source heat pump. You also have the option of a wood burning stove - the first basket of logs is free with refills available at £5 per basket.
All visitors receive a welcome pack on arrival, linen, towels and tea towels are provided. If you have any special requirements for younger visitors such as travel cots and high chairs please request at the time of booking and we will happily provide free of charge.
We are also shortly to open other larger cottages at Broadgate Farm -
