Bempton is a small village on the Flamborough headland of the Yorkshire Coast. Miles of award winning stunning sandy beaches lie to the immediate north and south of Bempton.
The famous Bempton cliffs are a walk over the fields a mile away - the only place in mainland UK where gannets can be seen nesting - and you can enjoy the facilities of the RSPB nature reserve. A short drive away lie the seaside towns of Filey, Scarborough, and Bridlington all with fantastic seaside resources. Surfing at Cayton Bay; Fossil hunting at Speeton and Ravenscar; cycling through Dalby Forest - there's a wealth of activities locally including stunning coastal paths and coves around Flamborough Head.
The village has a pub and a post office; an antiques yard; a 12th century church and a duckpond! The local pub is a minute's walk away and serves food. Essential supplies can be found at the well-stocked shop and Post Office a minute's walk up the street.

Walmsley House is right in the centre of Bempton village, opposite the White Horse pub. Just follow signs for Bempton and the RSPB reserve until you get to the pub. Buses drop off by the pub and trains run from Bridlington and Scarborough to a small station just outside the village (just walk towards the old church). |
