A traditional 2 story building with lounge, kitchen/diner and 2 bedrooms both with en suite bathrooms, plus an additional sauna/shower room.
The lounge offers double aspect views with patio doors leading onto the decking area overlooking our private lochan.
The kitchen is open plan to the dining area offering electric oven, gas hob, fridge-freezer, microwave, dishwasher and washing machine.
Jonna's Cottage now offers a master double with en suite and a twin/double also with en suite. Additional sofa beds for children and a cot available by arrangement.
A shower room with a sauna for 2/4 is situated downstairs.
Other features include oil fired central heating, wood burner in the lounge. double glazing, colour TV with Sky Digital (full family pack) plus DVD player and a video player available on request at no additional charge.
Jonna's Cottage has a very light and open feel with all doors and woodwork left in a natural finish, the lounge is south facing with the private decking area benefiting from sunlight from morning to evening with a high degree of privacy.
All heating costs are included in the rental price (ie oil for the central heating and logs for the fire), electricity is by coin meter but we fill the meter before your arrival.
We have a huge abundance of wildlife, from red squirrels which are readily seen to our shy deer. We also have herons and buzzards and large numbers of birds. Hedgehogs can be seen late at night.

From the South. Head up the M6 until it becomes the M74 near Scottish Border. Follow the M74 towards Glasgow, but take the M73 East towards Edinburgh just before the M74 heads off to Glasgow City Centre following directions to Edinburgh, Stirling - M80. Follow M73 onto A80 then M80 and then follow onto the M9 heading for Perth and the North. Near Stirling come off the M9 at Junction 10 onto the A84 signposted Crianlarich. You are now under 1 hours drive away. Follow the A84 through Doune, Callander, Strathyre and to Locheranhead. At Lochearnhead the road becomes the A85. Keep going straight ahead. Follow the A85 up through Glen Ogle and approx 1 mile after the high summit the road passes down into forestry. Slow down as Wester Lix entrance is found on the left as you pass downhill. If you reach the turning to Killin and the Lix Toll garage you have missed us by 500 yds. From Northeast Scotland: From Inverness or Aviemore head south down the A9 towards Perth. Approx 3 miles after the exit for Pitlochry turn off the A9 onto the A827 to Aberfeldy. Follow the A827 through Aberfeldy, Kenmore and Killin. Pass right through Killin and after 2 miles the A827 ends at the junction with the A85. Turn left and the entrance for Westerlix is 500 yards up the hill on the Right. From Fort William and Oban: Take the A85 from Oban, or the A82 from Fort William to Tyndrum. From Tyndrum follow the A85 to Crianlarich and continue on towards Callander and Killin. After about 8 miles you will enter into an area of dense forestry and soon after pass the Lix Toll Garage on your left. Proceed for a further 500yds past the turning to Killin, and the entrance to Wester Lix is off the A85 on the right. |
