The Stables at Kemyel Wartha was at it's name suggests, a former stable block incorporated into a working dairy farm, until production stopped in the mid 1990's.
Now totally converted into a beautiful smallholding holiday retreat, gaining sea and rural views spanning Mounts Bay, from Lamorna Cove to the tip of the Lizard peninsula.
Inside the non- smoking cottage: Sleeps 4 and has a lovely open plan living dining room, with real log burner and open A-framed beams and exposed granite walls. A good sized well equipped galley kitchen, two bedrooms (one double and one twin) and modern bathroom.
Outside the private cottage garden is well laid out with timber decking relaxation areas, all surrounded by Cornish hedging and many exotic palms and plants.
Situated right on the coastal path in a very tranquil hamlet, overlooking Lamorna Cove and accessed via a stone farm track, The Stables makes for the perfect holiday retreat.
The hamlet of Kemyel Wartha is surrounded by open countryside, leading down to the sea with no near main roads or light pollution and is very safe for children. There is plenty of fresh sea air and many beautiful scenic walks on our doorstep just waiting to be explored.
Lamorna Cove is but a short stroll away from the cottage, as you meander on the coastal path down through the wooded valley. Once in the Cove you will find a picturesque little harbour with its own cafe, restaurant and shop. Another short steep walk up the hill out of the Cove into Lamorna Village, you will stumble across the local pub.
Although seemingly remote and very quiet here at Kemyel, the main towns of Newlyn and Penzance, are only a short drive away and contain all the necessary facilities, including a good variety of shops, many fine restaurants and eating houses, art galleries, leisure and gymnasium centres and everything else one would require.
Mousehole with its quaint harbour and beach, are also in close proximity and within walking distance, on the coastal path in the other direction. Whilst here you will again find shops, cafes, restaurants, art galleries and craft exhibitions and the local pub overlooking the harbour.

By Plane: From any International Airport to Newquay Airport Cornwall UK. By Rail: From any International Train Station to Penzance Train Station Cornwall UK. By Road: Head South West of England on M5 motorway or A303 to A30. Take the A30 to PENZANCE then read signs to Newlyn and follow the B3315 up CHYWOONE HILL heading towards the village of SHEFFIELD. Drive straight through Sheffield and at the large fork in road take the left turning (sign posted) RAGGINIS, MOUSEHOLE, CASTALLACK. Continue for approximately 1 mile passing the left turning to Ragginis, Mousehole and Castallack until you come to a sharp right hand bend (sign posted) KEMYEL. Carry straight on down this dead end road until you reach a T-Junction. Turn right here at the ST AUBYN'S ESTATES sign ACCESS TO KEMYEL WARTHA ONLY. Follow the stone farm track for 0.6 miles and you will enter Kemyel Wartha overlooking Lamorna Cove. Our farm complex is the 1ST SET OF GATES YOU SEE ON YOUR RIGHT as you enter the hamlet. Drive slowly please (5mph) right through the yard, until you approach a granite wall and you will see The Stables Cottage and parking on your right hand side.
