Local attractions include Whipsnade Zoo, Roman Verulamium and the Abbey at St. Albans, Tring zoological museum, the Ashridge estate and Hatfield House.
8 miles from Harpenden station, which is 26 minutes to London St. Pancras - a good way to mix day trips to London, with a country holiday in a relaxed, child friendly cottage.
