Needless to say, Mylor has excellent facilities for yachtsmen with Mylor Yacht Harbour at nearby Mylor Churchtown, located in an easterly direction at the head of Mylor Creek. The yacht harbour offers many facilities to include pontoon berths and swinging moorings with immediate access to the Carrick Roads.

Bedroom 1: A lovely light sunny room with comfortable and attractive double bed, pretty feature fireplace (decorative only) fitted hanging/shelved space, dressing table and bedside cabinets with bedside lights.
Bedroom 2: Two comfortable single beds, fitted hanging/shelved space, dressing mirror, bedside drawers with lamps.
Bathroom: with modern white suite comprising of bath with electric shower over and glass screen, hand basin, heated towel rail and WC.

Outside : The front door leads to an attractive modern garden with brick paved pathway, graveled areas, raised beds and attractive seating. A BBQ is provided for guests use. Steps then lead down to a parking area suitable for 2 cars. Directly across the road is a large playing field which is bound to appeal to the younger members of the party! PLEASE NOTE - Dogs are not permitted on the playing field but there are lovely riverside walks locally - please ask us for further details. Local Services: Mylor Bridge village has many local amenities catering for day to day shopping needs, including a Post Office, stores with delicatessen and off-license, newsagents, hairdressers, butchers and a playing field (directly opposite Acorn Cottage) which includes a park area with swings. The delightful waterside public house and restaurant, the Pandora Inn (a medieval thatched pub in a lovely location next to Restronguet Creek which serves a good range of imaginative food from sandwiches up with fish a speciality) and the more local Lemon Arms are 15 and 5 minutes walk, respectively. Just over a mile away is Tregew Farm with the superb Long Close Farm Shop (see links for more details). Approximately 15 minutes' walk along narrow country lanes will take you to Weir Point where there is a peaceful, safe and secluded shingle beach. The lovely, sandy beaches of Falmouth are a 10 minute drive away. Mylor Yacht Harbour also offers sailing schools, boat hire, two excellent restaurants, a café and chandlery. Mylor parish church of St Melanus was founded in 1130 and contains the graves of many of the skippers of the packet boats that sailed the world delivering mail to the colonies. The area offers many great rural or waterside walks and the towns of Penryn (about 2 miles) and Falmouth (about 3˝ miles) provide a wide variety of eating establishments and a good selection of shops. Cornwall's capital, the cathedral city of Truro (about 8˝ miles) provides a more comprehensive range of facilities including a cinema and theatre. | |||
