The cottage is of course double glazed and full oil central heating throughout the cottage has been installed and is supplemented by a log burning stove in the living room.
All furniture and fittings are top quality and all rooms are large and well-equipped.
Cook in a top quality fitted kitchen with ample base and wall units and fully-integrated Smeg appliances, including a double oven and ceramic hob, fridge, dishwasher and microwave.
A separate utility room provides a washer-dryer and freezer, with ample space for drying wet clothes.
There are two double bedrooms, and a twin bedroom with the master bedroom having an en-suite bathroom.
A good nights sleep is insured with quality mattresses (a posturepedic mattress which offers a winning combination of support and comfort for your spine and a memory foam mattress which moulds to your body contour, providing correct posture for your body as you get a good nights rest) and quality linens and duvets.
Additional logs are available on request at a nominal fee.

Local Services: In the nearby village of Clarencefield there is a castle; a 16th Century Coaching Inn and an ancient (8th Century), 18 ft preaching cross in the local parish church. Within 7 miles are Dalton Pottery, Robert Burns Brow Well, the Solway coastline, Caerlaverock Castle and Bird Reserve, and Drummuir Farm producers of award winning Scottish Dairy Ice Cream. | |||

Low Season: £300.00 - £370.00. High Season: £470.00. We are always happy to discuss your requirements, and can offer short breaks of any length subject to availability. A £100.00 deposit is required on booking and the remaining balance is due two weeks prior to arrival. BOOKING CONDITIONS 1. Your booking is from 3pm on Saturday to 10am the following Saturday, or on the days or dates we have agreed. We will meet you at the cottage with the keys, so please let us know your anticipated arrival time. 2. Robin Rigg View accommodates six guests. 3. We provide an allergen-free environment for all our guests. We regret we are unable to accommodate pets. 4. To maintain a smoke-free environment for all our guests. Smoking is only permitted outside the cottage. 5. Your booking is secured when we have banked your deposit cheque. The remainder of your agreed fee should be paid 4 weeks in advance of your stay. Your cheques should be made payable to Jayne Broatch and posted to Fieldfoot, Ruthwell, Dumfries, DG1 4NN. 6. If you need to cancel your booking, your payment is refunded if we are able to re-let the cottage for the cancelled dates. The refund would be less a £50 administration and re-marketing charge. Your personal holiday insurance may cover you for any costs incurred when cancelling your holiday. 7. We know our guests take care of our cottage like a luxury home from home. Accidental breakages of crockery and glasses are anticipated and are never charged. However, if the actions of a guest or guests caused substantial damage to fixtures, fittings or furniture, we reserve the right to charge for the costs incurred in repairing or replacing the items. 8. On your last day please leave the cottage in a clean and tidy condition. All the linen and towels will be professionally laundered, so please leave used linen folded on the beds and used towels folded in the bathroom. 9. When you vacate the cottage, would you please hand the key back to Jayne Broatch. 10. In keeping with holiday cottage standard conditions, we need to advise you that your baggage and personal belongings are left in the holiday cottage at your own risk and that you are responsible for any act, neglect or default on your part and that no responsibility can be accepted for any loss, damage, expense, accident, injury or inconvenience to persons arising from the letting. If, for any reason, our holiday cottage becomes unavailable through events beyond our control, (for example fire, theft, damage, interruption of utility supplies or similar), then it may be necessary to cancel your booking. If no acceptable local alternative can be found, then your payments would be refunded in full, however no further liability would be accepted. |
