Helensdale - luxury self catering in Scotland for 6 guests.

Helensdale is situated in open countryside, sitting above a rocky bay overlooking the North Channel, with uninterrupted views of Ireland. It is 3.5 miles from Drummore, the most southerly village in Scotland and about 3 miles from the Mull of Galloway.

Drummore is located on a peninsula with a diverse range of coastal features from sandy beaches on the East coast to a variety of cliffs, rocks and sandy coves on the West, the most famous of which are the delightful village of Port Logan and of course the picturesque fishing village of Portpatrick.

Helensdale was completely renovated in 2008 to provide luxury self catering Scotland accommodation, and is the ideal choice if you want to get away from it all and enjoy the stunning Scottish coastal scenery.

Helensdale accommodates 6 guests in great luxury and comfort.

Ground Floor Accommodation:

Open plan lounge/ dining/ Kitchen - with electric double oven cooker,combination oven microwave, dishwasher, fridge freezer, toaster, kettle. Dining area has table which comfortably seats 6. Lounge has leather corner sofa, ideal for relaxing and taking in the morning sunlight(this open plan area has 4 windows, mostly east facing)
Utility with washing machine and tumble dryer.

Separate lounge with open fire, TV, DVD, radio CD and stunning sea views.

Shower room.

Bedroom 1 - Double bed & enjoys sea views, with a beautiful sunset.

Bedroom 2 - Twin room with views over open farmland, east facing so enjoys sunrise in the morning.

First Floor:

Bedroom 3 - Very spacious Double room, with view over farmland (and the sea)

Bathroom - with bath and separate shower cubicle.

The property is fully centrally heated and double glazed, with a plentiful supply of hot water.

All fuel and power included. Bed linen and towels provided. Cot and high chair available on request. Enclosed garden with furniture.

Directions

Getting here is as stunning as arriving as much of the scenery is beautiful.Firstly you need to get to Stranraer.

From Ireland:
You would arrive by ferry from Belfast.

From England:
Take the second junction after crossing the border (A75) and follow it to the end.
From Glasgow:
Take the M77 then the A77 until you arrive at Stranraer.

From Stranraer:
Take A716 heading for Drummore. Just after Drummore Village Sign (at sea wall) turn right and follow this road up the hill, through the trees and turn left at 'T'junction.
Keep on this road through the hamlet and take the 2nd turn right after the telephone box.
Follow this road for approximately 2.5 miles and Helensdale sits on the left hand side
