Castlegate Coach House Holiday Cottage is located on the picturesque street of Castlegate, just a short stroll from Pickering town centre with its variety of excellent shops, cafes, pubs and restaurants. As the name of the street would suggest, Pickering Castle is close by, as is the North Yorkshire Moors Railway.

The Coach House is a recently renovated grade II listed building and stands in the grounds of Castlegate House. Both properties are believed to date back to 1845. The holiday cottage provides luxury accommodation for 4 people.

An open plan layout on the ground floor provides a newly fitted kitchen/diner with solid beech work-tops, a Belfast sink and all the usual appliances (including a dishwasher and washer/dryer). The living room features a wood-burning stove, solid oak flooring and French windows open out on to a private courtyard garden with table/chairs and barbecue. Upstairs there are two bedrooms (one with a double bed, one with twin beds) and a newly fitted white bathroom with shower over the bath. The property has a separate access from that of the main house and off-street, private parking for two cars is reserved for guests.

The owners live next door in Castlegate House, and aim to ensure your stay is as comfortable as possible. We specialize in the following:
Child-friendly - we welcome babies, and young children and are happy to provide travel cot, highchair, stair gate, toys, books and DVDs free of charge.
Dog-friendly - one well behaved dog £10/week or short-break to cover cleaning costs.
Non-smoking.

We provide the following complimentary services:
Tea/coffee/milk and a cake for your arrival - White cotton bed-linen, and towels - Toiletries to satisfy the first couple of days of your stay - Gas Central Heating, electricity and logs/coal for your first fire (additional solid-fuel available to buy). Professional cleaning prior to your arrival - Private, off-street parking for 2 cars
