From the M4 motorway: Travel to the very end of the motorway Junction 49 (Pont Abraham services). Take the second exit marked 'Llandeilo' and 'Ammanford' (A483) and proceed along this road for several miles which leads into the town of Ammanford. At the second set of traffic lights in the town, turn left and proceed along this road for approx. two miles. When you see the village signpost of 'LLANDYBIE', take the second turning on the right marked Glynhir Road (opposite a bus shelter and a finger sign for the Golf Club). Take this right turn and stay on Glynhir Road for approx. one mile and you will see Glynhir Mansion and the entrance on the right hand side. From the A40: Travelling from Monmouth, Abergavenny, Brecon, Llandovery and then Llandeilo where you leave the A40 which turns right to Carmarthen, you go straight through to Llandeilo on the A483 signposted 'Ammanford', through Ffairfach, Derwydd and Llandybie. Having travelled through the village centre, continue over the railway bridge and in a short while you will pass Midway Garage on your left - take the first turning on the left past the garage. This is Glynhir Road. Proceed as above. By Train: From Swansea take the Shrewsbury branch line To Llandybie station. The train will not stop unless you inform the guard that your stop is in Llandybie. From the station there is a short walk to the village centre where the telephone box can be found in order to telephone a taxi if this hasn't been pre-arranged (Taxi Shop 01269 595050). |
