A warm, comfortable and homely base for your Lake District holiday.
This is a two bedroom apartment in the top half of a former railway house, situated on the outskirts of Keswick.

The house is built in traditional local stone with the top half rendered and painted white.
There is a spacious lounge, plus a good sized double bedroom and bathroom. A small bedroom has two bunk beds.

The apartment has gas fired central heating (included in the price).
The spacious living room has a wood-burning stove.
Good sized family bathroom, has a bath and separate shower cubicle.
The apartment has double glazing, full gas central heating, and is equipped to a very high standard.
Prices include electricity and heating.
Please bring your own bed linen, and towels.
There is parking for two cars.
Sorry, no pets.
For the comfort of all guests, we ask that you don't smoke in the apartment.
Please note that this is a first floor apartment, with access up a flight of stairs.

Facilities.
Electric cooker, microwave, fridge/freezer, kettle, toaster, coffee maker, food mixer, iron and ironing board, automatic washing machine, colour television, shaver point.

Keswick is located at the centre of the northern part of The Lake District National Park.
Step out of the apartment door and walk on the fells in all directions without the need to use your car.
Several Wainwright Walks can be started from the doorstep, and many more are just a short distance away by car.

There is easy access to launches on Derwentwater and buses into Borrowdale and surrounding valleys.
An old railway track developed for cycling and walking gives easy access to Keswick and countryside.
Keswick town centre offers numerous shops, traditional English pubs, wine bars, restaurants, and the excellent Theatre by the Lake.
A well-stocked mini supermarket at a petrol station is just five minutes walk from the apartment.

Directions

From the M6:
Take the A66 (junction 40) to Keswick.
Approaching Keswick, turn left on the A591 (Penrith Road), signposted for Windermere.
At a "T" junction on a bend, turn right, down the hill.
After approximately 50 yards, at a right hand bend in the road, by a bench and before a low building with yellow paintwork, Travis Perkins, turn sharply right to the parking spaces behind the house.
If you approach from the centre of Keswick, the house is situated on Chestnut Hill, on the left as you come up the hill, where the old railway track (which is now a walking/cycling track), goes under the road.
