Roan Cottage is a newly built, cosy, yet individual and spacious lovely cottage which is situated on the south western tip of the island in an elevated position, looking towards the stunning Burg, amidst some beautiful unspoilt scenery. An excellent place to be, for exploring the Ross of Mull.
Choosing to stay on the Ross of Mull is excellent from a weather point of view as it is the driest end of the island and is within site of the Isle of Tiree which usually has the most sunshine on the British Isles.
En route to Roan Cottage you will pass through some of the most spectacular scenery that the Western Isles has to offer. According to recent newspaper reports Mull is now the most wildlife watched area in the British Isles.
The cottage enjoys a peaceful spot under 1 mile from the village of Bunessan and Fionnphort is just 4 miles away where you can catch the ferry to visit the world famous Abbey on Iona, visit Staffa with magnificent caves and Puffins or the Treshnish Islands.
Escape from the hustle and bustle of modern life to a quaint corner of the Isle of Mull rugged countryside, all this on your doorstep, yet only a few moments drive to the white sandy bays and beaches, there are a 'few' to choose from.
It is also an ideal base for outdoor activities such as walking, cycling, golf, fishing, bird watching, boating, canoeing and sailing etc or you can simply enjoy the peace and seclusion Roan Cottage has to offer as you sit and watch the world go by.
The cottage is set within an enclosed garden with ample parking space, sleeps 2-6, furnished and equipped to the highest standard to make your stay comfortable and enjoyable.
