The Heart of England footpath passes through the village. A golf course, open to non-members is only 3 miles from Barton. Bidford-Upon-Avon offers a riverside restaurant, pub and supermarket. Barton is also sandwiched between the historic riverside town of Evesham and Stratford-Upon-Avon and is on the border of the Cotswolds.

Barton is situated 8 miles west of Stratford-upon-Avon, and is easily reached by both the M40 and M5 motorways. From the M40 (either north or south bound): Get off at Junction 15 and follow signs for the A46 towards Stratford-upon-Avon. Keep going all the way to Alcester, then take a left (staying on the A46) towards Evesham. Turn left at the first island towards Bidford-on-Avon, and drive through the village until you reach a roundabout. Take the third exit, come over the bridge, then follow your nose for about half a mile. Turn left at the crossroads (signposted Barton), and we are approximately 300 yards down the road on the right hand side. From the South West on the M5: Get off at Junction 9 and follow the A46 all the way past Evesham until you get to the Bidford-on-Avon turning, which is the third exit at the roundabout. Then just follow the instructions above to get through the village. Coming fron the South on the M5: From the north west, the Sat-Nav will probably tell you to get off at Junction 4a and follow the M42. You can go that way, but it's arguably a bit easier to stay on the M5 until Junction 6, then follow the A422 towards Alcester. Keep going on the 422 until you pick up a sign for the A46 towards Evesham, and you'll come to the Bidford-on-Avon roundabout where you'll take a left (first exit). Keep coming through the village as above. |
