In the village there are two friendly pubs both serving food, a Post office and "The Sticky Prawn" award winning fish restaurant. As you enter the village there is a local farm shop. There is a passenger ferry that regularly runs the short enjoyable trip across the water to Falmouth where you will find a large variety of shops and restaurants to suit all tastes and needs.
There is a lovely coastal walk from Flushing which takes you on a round trip to Mylor Harbour where there is The Ganges or Castaways restaurants and a lovely cafe with outside seating to watch the boats come and go. If you fancy a trip on the water there is a boat hire facility at Mylor Harbour also.
Chy-Avallon is a two bedroomed reverse level house. The larger bedroom has a king size bed with en-suite bathroom comprising corner bath, shower cubicle, basin and WC. The second bedroom has two single beds and across the hall there is a small shower room with shower cubicle, basin and WC.
Upstairs there is a spacious lounge with TV and DVD player. In the lounge there is a metal action sofa bed which allows for two more guests to stay. The patio doors in the lounge open onto a small balcony where you can enjoy the sunshine right into the evening. There is a large well-equipped kitchen/diner with cooker, washing machine, dishwasher, fridge-freezer and microwave. The dining table seats 6 and there is a high chair available.
Outside the property there is a small lawned garden area with table and chairs. There is driveway parking for 2 cars (a rare find in small Cornish villages!!)

Take the A39 from Truro heading towards Falmouth. At Treluswell Cross roundabout take the left turn to Penryn on the B3292. At the bottom of the long hill turn left opposite the Texaco garage signposted to Mylor and Mylor Harbour. Follow the road up the steep hill past St. Gluvias Church. After about a mile turn right onto the road signposted to Flushing. After another mile you will come to a T junction. Turn right down the hill into Flushing. Take the left turning after The Royal Standard pub and carry on up the hill. Chy-Avallon is on the right hand side just at the entrance to Orchard Vale and opposite the public footpath to Mylor Bridge. |
