Pilmoor Railway Cottage is one of a short terrace built in 1875 by the North Eastern Railway Company for signalmen, platelayers etc.

The cottage encompasses:
An entrance lobby. The lounge/dining room which has an electric fire, TV and video recorder. The kitchen has a cooker, microwave, fridge and washing machine. There are two bedrooms, one double and one twin. A bathroom, with shower over bath. There are storage heaters throughout the cottage. Linen is provided and electricity is included.

Outside there is a small courtyard/sitting area and parking space for at least 2 cars. There is also a large communal garden.

We are situated in a secluded, wooded, rural area adjoining farmland, about 20 miles north of York, alongside a four track section of the ECML.

The attractive country towns of Thirsk, Easingwold and Boroughbridge are only 15 minutes away.

The cottage is convenient for trips to the North Yorkshire Moors, Dales/Wensleydale Railway, York, Skipton/Embsay, Kiethley and Worth Valley plus the North Yorkshire Coast, Stately Homes and many other places of interest.

Easter, May, October to April: £260.00 per week.
July and August: £385.00 per week.

Short Breaks: 70% of weekly tarrif.

The week runs from Saturday 2.00pm to 10.00am the following Saturday.




Directions

By Car:
Head for Boroughbridge which is alongside the A1M 12 miles north of Wetherby, go through Boroughbridge to the roundabout at th other end and take the second exit between the Grantham Arms and Canal Garage. Turn right at the next junction, signed Easingwold and Helperby, follow this road for about 4 miles until you come to a T junction. Turn right again, go over the river bridge, up the hill and turn left at the top signed Sessay and Pilmoor.
Follow this road for 2 miles until the railway bridge, go over the bridge and immediately turn right onto a lane through the trees,( there is a name board). The cottages are 400yds down the lane.
