Lounge in the privacy of the patio garden, enjoy a leisurely breakfast in the charming summerhouse or savour the delights of this friendly, vibrant village. Saunter past the higgledy-piggledy houses bordering the village green with its majestic trees, as well as the village's three pubs, two churches, post office, butcher's and small supermarket all just minutes away. Or try one of the many pleasant strolls in the immediate neighbourhood.
The village is off the regular tourist track and in close proximity to the open heather moorlands of the stunning North York Moors. Activities, attractions and history are at your doorstep: York, Durham, castles, ruined abbeys, stately homes, gardens, and a wealth of charming little market towns and pretty villages dotted all over North Yorkshire.
The cottage, which sleeps up to four in two bedrooms, is our own rural retreat and is accordingly well stocked with the regular day-to-day necessities - home from home in a very real sense. Double-glazed and gas centrally heated throughout with an attractive oil-fired stove to snuggle round, the cottage retains its country cottage atmosphere. The fully equipped country-look kitchen leads to a west-facing patio garden complete with bistro table and two chairs and overlooked by an attractive summerhouse with its own seating.
Details can be seen by visiting our website (click link above). We offer a reduction for the over-60s. Prices include all bedlinen, towels, electricity, central heating, broadband facilities etc. There is on-street parking opposite and parking is free throughout the village.
