It is an ideal location for families as the house is situated within 3 acres of pastureland and is just 5 minutes walk from the sandy beach at Staffin. The house is perfectly situated for exploring the Island and Skye's many peninsulas. It is a walkers, birdwatchers, photographers and artists paradise with all the stunning landscape and views on offer.
Careful thought has been given to the renovation of Carn Ban, retaining all the charm and character of the house while providing modern facilities and equipment of quality. A lot of thought and those special little touches are offered to ensure your holiday is a relaxing and comfortable experience.
At our discretion, we may accept a well behaved dog by prior arrangement and access must be restricted to the tiled area of the ground floor of the house at all times.
The house sleeps 6 to 8 people comfortably and comprises of the following:
• 3 bedrooms – 2 double rooms and family room with bunk beds and single bed (Z bed and cot are also available).
• 1 bathroom with new modern suite fitted in 2006 and electric shower.
• Large kitchen/dining room, fully equipped.
• Family room with TV, DVD, Video, PS1 and open fire. Magnificent view of the Quaraing.
• Lounge with open fire and magnificent view of the Quaraing. Wood is provided for both fires.
• Games, books and maps are provided for those rainy days inside and in front of a roaring fire.
All beds are made up with fresh linen on arrival and towels are provided.
Carn Ban is the perfect place for a traditional family holiday and to enjoy quality time together.

One of the largest and best known Scottish islands, Skye is particularly famous for its mountain scenery. Many people come here to climb or walk in the Cuillin and the Quiraing, which Càrn Bàn looks directly on to. Quite an expanding population since the early 1990s, now there are over 9000 people living on the island. Due to its popularity with tourists, you will find many craft shops and cottage museums. Local Services: The Internet Guide to Scotland is an excellent website, part of which is devoted to what to do on Skye. There is everything there from telephone numbers of restaurants, through to details of guided tours, museums, cinemas and an excellent list of books about Skye. Well worth a click! | |||

£300 to £800 per week A 25% non refundable deposit is required per week, when booking, with the balance due 8 weeks prior to the holiday start date. Should the balance of the holiday not be paid by the due date the booking will be considered cancelled. In the event of cancellation any payments made will be refunded if the cottage is re-let, subject to an administration/cancellation fee of £100. The holidaymaker undertakes to leave the property and its contents in the same condition as at the commencement of the holiday and to leave the property in the same state of cleanliness in which it was found. You will be charged accordingly for any extra cleaning which is necessary. The owner of the property will be compensated for any damage and breakages which occur. |
