Cherry Cottage - semi-detached - sleeps up to 8.
4 bedrooms ( 1 double, 1 twin, 1 single and 1 family room).
All bedrooms have pleasant garden views.
Single bedroom has a door leading into the garden.
Two Bathrooms (1 has shower cubicle, loo and sink, 2 has a bath, loo, sink and towel rail and both have wall heaters.
Large kitchen with original kitchen range, which can still be lit. Electric oven and hob; also back kitchens with washing machine, microwave, fridge-freezer and extra sink.
Sitting room with coal/log burning stove and door leading into the garden. In total there are four access doors into the cottage. Double glazed throughout. Night storage heaters. Coal and logs included in the price. Electricity included in the price.
Large private garden plus garden furniture.
Pleasant walking around the farm, where you can spot numerous wildlife species, including barn owls, deer, hares and fox to name but a few.
Private parking next to cottage. Welcome pack on arrival.
Herd's Hoose - detached cottage - sleeps up to six.
Three Bedrooms (1 double and 2 twin).
All bedrooms have views of garden or surrounding countryside and are of generous proportions.
Kitchen with electric-oven and fridge-freezer.
Sitting room with dining table and open coal/log fire.
Bathroom with shower over the bath, loo, sink, towel heater and wall heater.
Fully double glazed throughout. Boot room with microwave, washing machine and overhead pulley for clothes drying.
Private garden with garden furniture.

Both cottages provide a superb base to visit Northumberland and Scottish borders.
Just a twenty minute drive to the coast; Holy Island a twenty five minute drive.
Berwick-upon-Tweed (Railway station), beach, supermarkets, shopping twenty minute drive.
Edinburgh and Newcastle-upon-Tyne 1hr 15 minutes.
Golfing, horseriding, fishing all within a five mile radius. Walking in the Cheviot hills, St. Cuthberts Walk, Southern Upland Way.
Numerous little pubs for evening meals or lunch, are only 10-15 minutes away.

By Car: From the South take the A697 North from Newcastle-upon-Tyne to Wooler. Keeping on the A697, go through Millfield and drive towards Cornhill-on-Tweed. Take the 5th turning on your left after Millfield, sign posted East Learmouth and West Learmouth. You will come to a junction with a war memorial, take a left, then take first left again, signed Branxton and Millfield. Continue passing a large farmhouse and ornamental pond (East Learmouth) and up the hill for about 1/2 mile. Tithe Hill is the first right and has a sign at the road end. Drive up the farm road. Herd's Hoose is the first cottage. Further up the road is Cherry cotage and the Farmhouse, where I live is at the top. |
