It is an ideal place to stay for visiting the Yorkshire Heritage Coast and the resorts of Scarborough, Filey and Bridlington which are all only a short drive away.
The cottage is well equipped and caters for 2 to 6 guests.
We make a point of offering good discounts for 2 people occupancy and we also offer short breaks particularly in the less busy times of the year.
The property is modern, being built in the 1980's and is not on a housing estate.
There is parking on the drive for 2 cars and on street (private parking) for 1 more car.
There is a TV (with freeview channels) and also a stereo system.
The bedrooms are:-
Bedroom 1: Double Bed
Bedroom 2: 2 Single Beds
Bedroom 3: Bunk beds
The kitchen is well equipped with Cooker, microwave, washing machine, Tumble dryer, Dishwasher and with all normal utensils.
The Bathroom facilities are toilet, Sink, Bath and Electric shower.
The private garden to the rear of the property is mainly lawned with a patio area and table/bench plus extra seating.
We have a number of visitors who have stayed more than once which hopefully gives you a good feeling if you are thinking of staying here.

From York: Take the A64 towards Scarborough. Pass through the traffic lights in Sherburn and continue approximately 3 miles on the A64 turning right at the next traffic lights at Staxton onto the B1249 towards Driffield. Remain on the B1249, passing through Foxholes and turn left onto the road sign-posted to Wold Newton. Follow this straight road into the village and take the first left (opposite the duck pond) onto Front street. Continue up this road, past a row of terraced cottages on the right and take the first right into Back Lane and Owl cottage is the 2nd property on the right. From Scarborough: Take the A64 York road on the South side of Scarborough. Turn right at the Staxton Roundabout continuing on the A64 and then turn left at Staxton traffic lights onto the B1249 Driffield Road. Remain on the B1249, passing through Foxholes and turn left onto the road sign-posted to Wold Newton. Follow this straight road into the village and take the first left (opposite the duck pond) onto Front street. Continue up this road, past a row of terraced cottages on the right and take the first right into Back Lane and Owl cottage is the 2nd property on the right. From Driffield: Take the B1249 towards Scarborough. Pass through the village of Langtoft and then up to and straight on at the Octon roundabout. Continue on a long downhill stretch of road towards Foxholes, turning Right shortly after the garage onto the road sign-posted to Wold Newton. Follow this straight road into the village and take the first left (opposite the duck pond) onto Front street. Continue up this road, past a row of terraced cottages on the right and take the first right into Back Lane and Owl cottage is the 2nd property on the right. From Bridlington: Take the A165 road towards Scarborough, turning left after about half a mile following the "scenic route", through Grindale and Burton Fleming. Continue to Wold Newton , enter the village and take the 2nd right turn (opposite the duck pond ) onto Front Street. Continue up this road, past a row of terraced cottages on the right and take the first right into Back Lane and Owl cottage is the 2nd property on the right. |
