Squirrels Leap -

Sleeps: 4
Pets Allowed: No
Smoking Allowed: No

  • Leads directly onto the Offa's Dyke path.
  • The cottage has many original features.

Squirrels Leap is a Victorian stone railway cottage. The Heart of Wales line runs at the bottom of the garden, a small local service with tourist steam engines in the Spring and Autumn.

The cottage has two bedrooms, one double room looking out over the River Teme and the town of Knighton beyond; the twin bedded room overlooking Kinsley Wood which leads to the Offa's Dyke Path.

The fitted kitchen has an electric cooker, washing machine and fridge.

The cosy, comfortable lounge, which has a feature stone fireplace, leads into a sun lounge with dining area.

There is a downstairs bathroom with shower over the bath.

The garden overlooks the Teme Valley with views of the River Teme.

The area is exceptionally good for hill-walking, cycling and fishing. There are five steps out of the garden up to the road. There is off-road parking for one vehicle, plus parking available outside the cottage for one vehicle.

Knighton is a small medieval market Welsh border town. It is a good location to explore the Welsh Borders, Mid Wales and the Shropshire Marches. The Radnorshire Hills and Shropshire Hills are in walking distance and Radnorshire Forest is just outside of Knighton.
