The cottage has a magnificent farmhouse kitchen incorporating a Rayburn and dining area. In addition the kitchen is equipped with a double electric oven and halogen hob, microwave, dishwasher and fridge. There is a large dining table perfect for family and friends to gather around and all the essentials needed for an intimate dinner party or family gathering.
Off the kitchen is a contemporary shower room and toilet. This leads to the garage storage perfect for coming through and taking off muddy boots after a nice walk in the beautiful surrounding countryside.
The living room has a log-burning stove, TV, DVD player and music system with plenty of comfortable seating to make sure you enjoy your stay. From the living room up the winding wooden stairs is a long passageway with exposed sandstone along one side. Off this passage are the three bedrooms each with double beds. The bathroom has a bath with electric shower, basin and WC. There is an additional separate WC with basin upstairs. The house has an integral garage where the washing machine, tumble dryer and fridge freezer are located. This leads to the shower room and is ideal for storage of bikes or bigger items.
The village of Armathwaite is a thriving community with two excellent pubs both with busy restaurants serving very good food. There is a railway station forming part of the Settle to Carlisle journey, which is very popular.
The village also has a Post Office that doubles as newsagents and also a village shop selling all the necessities. The village is situated on the River Eden and there is walking, climbing, fishing, canoeing and biking trails from the village itself.
