The annexe consists of a downstairs bedroom where bed can be two singles or one double. Ensuite bathroom with shower and heated towel rail. The entrance door leads on to a tiny grassed area where guests can sit with a cup of coffee and soak up the fabulous views. Upstairs there is a fully fitted kitchen with microwave and fridge. Also a double hob electric cooker. There is a two seater sofa and Sky TV is available. All linen is provided. Complimentary tea and coffee are provided.
The nearest town is Chagford two miles away one of Devon's stannary towns. Chagford has two famous hardware stores Webbers and Bowdens. There are two clothes shops and several boutiques.
Our barn is located near to the Mariners Way long distance path and access to the open moor is one mile away. It is a peaceful and tranquil spot and central to most of Devon.

GR SX 693853 FROM THE A30 at Whiddon Down: Take turn signposted Chagford and Moretonhampstead. Continue on this road through the village and take the left turn at the next roundabout marked A382 for Moretonhampstead. After approximately 4 miles, turn right on the B3206 signposted Chagford and follow the road into the village to the T-junction. The village square should be on your left and two hardware stores opposite. Turn right at this T-junction signposted Gidleigh and Throwleigh. Travel down the hill out of the village, bear left at the sign for Fernworthy Reservoir (the sign at the front of a house). Do not take the right turn to Gidleigh and Throwleigh. Continue up the hill and at the top follow the road around the sharp left hand bend. After this bend take the third turning on the right signposted Corndon. The entrance to Lower Corndon Barn will be found less than a quarter of a mile on the left hand side. |
