The accommodation is a spacious 3/4 bedroom property which sleeps up to six people + a cot, in one double and two twin bedrooms.
The main bathroom is on the ground floor and there is an additional toilet and wash hand basin upstairs.
The large, fully equipped kitchen leads onto a dining room (with LCD TV) and separate lounge. The lounge houses a wide-screen television (with digital channels) and a DVD player and offers stunning views across the unspoilt countryside.
There is also a back kitchen which provides storage for equipment such as bikes, fishing rods etc.
As well as having full central heating, the farmhouse also has an oil fired stove in the lounge which creates a cosy feel.
The house is located 0.5 miles from the nearest public road and access is along a private road. It is therefore safe for families and pets. There are ample parking facilities.
The property is situated halfway between Dumfries and Castle Douglas, (about 10 miles from each) offering a contrast between a modern and traditional town.
There is plenty to do in the area for adults and children, including water-sports, pony trekking, cycle routes, forest walks, fishing, golf and much more. There are also numerous days out to be enjoyed, from our local chocolate factory to a nearby farm park.
There is also a variety of places to eat out, from contemporary restaurants to local pubs.

From the A75, turn left at the Drummore Roundabout. Continue until you reach the crossroads and turn right. Follow the road through the village of Lochfoot for 2 and 3/4 miles until you see a turn off to your right, signposted Meikle Barfil. Follow this private road for approximately 0.5 miles and you will see the house. |
