Owl Cottage is a pretty, well proportioned and comfortably furnished property in the grounds of our own house. Close enough should you need us, far enough away to ensure your privacy.

The cottage is laid out on one level, so once you are indoors, there are no stairs to worry about for young or old. Whilst we don't have additional handrails for disabled guests, those with carers will find that the standard-width doorways are wide enough to accommodate travel-wheelchairs.

The double bedroom has an en-suite shower room with newly installed power shower. The kitchen is well equipped with full sized appliances - washing machine, gas cooker, microwave oven, fridge/freezer etc. and all the crockery and cooking implements you could need.

The living area has the benefit of a colour television and DVD/CD player and radio/cassette player.

The cottage is fully centrally heated by radiators and reasonable use of this for heating and hot water morning and evening is included in your rental charge.

A cot (with linens) and highchair are available at no extra cost.

Outside there is a pretty garden with seating area and views across the fields.

Guests also have the use of a utility room which houses a tumble dryer, irons and ironing board, vacuum cleaner and most importantly, a portable barbeque for use in the garden.

We are open year-round for short stays to longer lets and stays of more than three weeks are subject to an attractive discount

Local Services: The cottage is located in a rural environment, surrounded by agricultural (crops, not animals) land. The River Nene is 100 yards from the front door, with riverside walks to the nearest village, 1.5 miles away. The nearest town is 5 miles from the cottage with plenty of shops, supermarkets etc. and also containing the Nationals Trust's property Peckover House and the Lady Octavia Hill museum. Slightly further afield there is an abundance of golf course, a recreational airfield, Peter Scott Walk, Nene Valley Steam Railway to name but a few. Too much to do, too little time to do it!

Standard Rates

This is a rough guide only and you should enquire for specific dates.

Spring: From £165.00 - £205.00 per week.
Summer: From £205.00 - £270.00 per week.
Autumn: From £165.00 - £205.00 per week.
Winter: From £165.00 - £299.00 per week.
Short breaks costs £40 per night for a minimum of three nights during spring, autumn and winter seasons.

Take the turning for Guyhirn village. Follow the road through the village and out of the other side. Once you have passed the 'speed derestriction' sign, Mouth Lane is approximately 800 yards further on your right hand side. The cottage is situated 3/4 of a mile along Mouth Lane on the right.
