Mole Hall Wildlife Park covers some 20 acres and has been lovingly developed by the Johnstone family, for over 40 years. A dominant feature of this enchanting Park is the fully moated Manor House (private), dating back to 1280 with its fringe of overhanging willow trees blending the Essex-pink pargeted exterior with the beautiful surroundings.
There is a wide variety of animals such as South American Llama Guanco exotic Flamingos and the Formosa sika Deer, which are extinct in the wild. North American and Oriental small clawed Otters, Mole Hall Wildlife Park are the first regular breeders in the UK of the North American otter. Other residents at Mole Hall include Chimpanzees, Wallabies and a wide range
of domestic animals such as ponies, rabbits, goats, pigs and sheep.Have fun at the 'Squirty Maze', If you are cunning and clever, you will be able to get round without getting soaked! Make a mistake and you will get a free shower.
An exciting addition to Mole Hall is the Butterfly Pavilion, providing visitors with a truly tropical experience. On entering you are immediately engulfed by vibrantly coloured butterflies, which flit about this jungle-like area. Also in the Pavilion you will come across a variety of snakes, spiders and insects (which are safely behind glass). Small monkeys and lovebirds. Goldfish, toads and terrapins in small pools can also be seen.
