Once inhabited by the Roman Army, this ancient site provides a fascinating snapshot of Roman military life.

Setting the scene for a unique historical experience are the timber gateway - including 70 feet of flanking ramparts - the granary building and Gyrus.

All are faithfully reconstructed from archaeological evidence.

Re-enactments of military manoeuvres (please see website or telephone for details).

    Saturday, Sunday and 7 bank holiday Mondays 10.30am - 4.30pm.

    Mid July to early September:
    Wednesdays through Sundays 10.30am - 4.30pm.
