The Grove Arms is situated beside the A30 in the village of Ludwell, only 2 miles (3.2 km) from the historic town of Shaftesbury in the west and just 17 miles (30 km) from the cathedral city of Salisbury in the east.

The inn’s peaceful and yet convenient location, makes it a great base from which to explore the surrounding area’s natural beauty, either by foot, bicycle, motorbike or motor car.The residents’ lobby is located on the inn’s first floor, which is available for those guests wishing to make tea or coffee; have a quiet read; play board games; or watch television together.

The lobby is often used by guests attending weddings, who arrive early and need to gather together with a snack before leaving.
