In the heart of rural Norfolk, this charming traditional coaching inn dates back to the 17th century, with parts dating back to the 14th century, making it the second oldest inn in Norfolk.

The Bull Inn is located off the A1045 - Swaffham to Fakenham road, and was once the first or last change of horses on the old Kings Lynn to Great Yarmouth coaching route.

Today, the inn has 10 recently refurbished en suite rooms, with 3 disabled-friendly rooms on the ground floor.

The inn still retains many beautiful original features, including exposed wooden beams.

The building's original timber frame can be clearly seen in the restaurant and the rooms above.

As well as the restaurant, the inn has a charming traditional bar, with a selection of real ales served all year round.

The bar is also open to the public and is popular with local people as well as with hotel guests.The inn's main building dates from the 17th century and has one of the few remaining original King Charles I fireplaces.

There are 2 rooms in this building, one being a split-level family room.

The structure's original timber frame can still be seen in this part of the building.

The other rooms are in the 18th and 19th century part of the building.

The old stables and coach house have now been converted into 3 double rooms, which are disabled friendly and have large shower rooms.

The old hayloft has been converted into a family room.

The Bull was also once the site for the local court.

The old courtroom has also recently been refurbished and the original fireplace has been restored to working order.

Thanks to the building's rich history, much of the refurbishment and restoration has been accomplished with the help of a grant from the East of England Tourist Board.
