Hemingford Grey Manor is one of the oldest continuously inhabited houses in England. It was built circa 1130, and most of the Norman house remains virtually intact, in spite of various changes over nine centuries.
Features
The garden is open daily, but the house is opened to groups or individuals by appointment only. Guided tours, of the house are usually conducted by a member of the family.

By Car: Hemingford Grey is 4 miles south-east of Huntingdon just off the A14. By Train: To Huntingdon on the Kings Cross line and then bus or taxi. By Bus: Number 5 Cambridge - Huntingdon bus stops in Hemingford Grey. There is only parking for the disabled at the house. Park in the High Street and walk along the tow path to enter via the garden gate. |
