Just as a bit of a diversion, I have just been reading through one or two subjects in the 'Polls' folder.

I must have too much time on my hands - ha.ha.

However, I was interested to see the number of people whose names appear in these polls [in this case, Favourite Town] and from whom we never hear these days.

I guess that, as time moves on, peoples' interests, activities and commitments change - for better or worse.

I guess that many of them (us) are on facebook. I'm not. I'm here! And I can't understand why our old friends can't find it in their hearts to check in here as well from time to time.

I just love AboutBritain! However, as I have stated in earlier posts, I do miss the oldies who don't post anything here anymore.

Ok here is the news from the UK
England are playing in the world cup
Football on TV wall to wall soon.

The Commonwealth Games are to start soon
in Glasgow; America is not invited as it was never
in the Commonwealth and Ireland left.
This means Canada and Australia may win most of the time
the Aussies did not do well in the Olympics.
The UK did good England may pick up most medals.

99 days until the Scots vote on Independence.
Its far to close to call polls say its a No but
on-line and on the streets its another story.
I was interviewed myself for TV {no autographs} which
is to be shown in July.

If England win the World Cup {Aye some hope nae chance}
and Scotland do well in the Games, + English football
commentators annoy Scots watching TV IT SHALL BE A YES!
come Sep 18th. A summer of sports and campaigning.
