Status: offline 		I would love to hear any views or memories of when visitors have toured around Northumberland or Durham areas.

Did you find any special gems, during your travels. Looking forward to reading future posts, and if you have a favourite place please do share details of your visit during 2010.

Status: offline 		Seven or eight years ago, I went up to Durham for the day (from London). I was visiting a woman that I had met on ebay . Before going to see her, I went to see the cathedral. It was spectacular. I spent quite a bit of time there, but really did not get to see the town well. I had hoped that she would be a tour guide, but we went back to her house. Nice visit, but I really would have love to explore more. It is on my list of places to revisit. Thanks for the sites, at least it is one way to visit.

Status: offline 		Katie just read Rons post..aahh!! Ron your well over due for a visit to Durham so relax jump on a Train or maybe a Coach Trip Bus, better still make a weekend of your northern break.
Then when you see whats on offer scenic views brilliant history..lots of photographic opportunities so bring extra films for your camera...
You will be back many more times for sure..cheers Katie

Status: offline 		Thank you for your kind invitation, Katie, but I really do think that it's hardly worth travelling all the way from Christchurch [New Zealand] just to spend a weekend in Durham, nice and all as it may be.

In fact, it would take me virtually all of the weekene to get there ............................
