Very few posts and not like a year ago or two.

Sunday in the uk is Mothering Sunday and I've got the most wonderful present already. My daughter and two of the grandkids are moving back to Scotland from Manchester and in fact at this moment, they are on the road back to Bonnie Scotland.

I check in every day and the post never change . I don't understand it.

I am so glad for you, it is great to have our children near by. Especially the grandchildren, they change so fast.

Speaking of grandchildren, my 10 year old granddaughter, Bailey, and I are off to London at the end of April. We are both really excited. I don't get to see her too often, so to have a week with her is great. She has her list of what she wants to see ( and I have mine as to where I want to steer her ). We do have tickets to the Lion King one evening.

Any brillant ideas of places to go that are not on the usual list?

"Where is everybody ??", I hear you ask

With what I've heard of the current, and recent, weather over that way, they're probably all frozen in their beds...

Well, perhaps not Anglo, he's probably frozen by his right foot to the brass rail in the Bar at the "Nag's Head".

Yes this was very very busy a few years back.

LONDON I spent a week in Golder's Green on the Northern Line close to the 'Old Bull and Bush' pub.
Hampton Court: 31 miles, 25 Minutes by train leaving Waterloo Station, its a must do.
Windsor Castle too.

Take a boat trip on the Thames.
Walk along the Thames at night.
Most Big Art galleries & museums are free.

02 is free to see inside restaurants & stuff you pay to see a concert.
Its close to Greenwich: Royal Naval Collage; National Maritime Museum, Old Royal Observatory,
Fan museum.

The Parks they change the guard at Buckingham Palace at 11AM.

Glad to hear there are still lots of people looking-in regularly - but you're right, it's quiet at the moment.

The thing is - if everyone looks in, but nobody posts - then there's nothing to see when you look in!

We'll try and spice things up a bit with a few more posts to get things rolling again - but we need you guys to post too: If it looks like there's nothing going on, then new people won't join.

There's loads going on at AboutBritain.com at the moment - I'll try to pop-in more often and let you know what's happening.

Thanks for checking-in!

I'm here. These days I'm busy just getting started if you know what I mean but I am still here. Glad to see everyone else is still on board. I don't think it's changed that much. At least we're all dropping by to say hello. Perhaps facebook and myspace have taken over the forum scene lately although I don't get much time to spend on either. Too busy working.

Lovely news about your family. You must be so pleased.

Well, after I log off tonight [probably about 03.00 N.Z.D.S.T. 'cos the Shuttle is calling for me at about 03.30] I will leave youse all in peace.

I'll be away Across the Ditch for a month.

Just make sure that you all behave yourselves while I'm off the air [I won't be checking up on yers, mainly because I wouldn't know how to].

Be good.....

Well, for what it's worth.......here in the Bluegrass state most folk are a bit preoccupied with March Madness.
But then, perhaps only Ron and myself were aware of that.

(The jelly brats are gone by the way)

Most certainly.............

It's a British treat. The family (well mostly my twelve yr. old) was able to sample some over the Christmas holiday.
Actually I believe it's "Jelly Babies"..........(much like gummy bears here in the US)

Jelly Babies- one of my favourite sweets!

The main question is- Is the head or feet the first to go or are you a greedy gutts and eat it one off?

Me I'm a head first, then the feet and finally the torso.

I'm sure the physcos will analyse our character by which way we eat them! They seem to analyse all of our behavour!

I always go for the little boy jelly babies. Apparently they are bigger. Only hearsay though.
