Happy Burns day to you too.
Had my Haggis earlier.
Time for a nip or twa !

I see the USA is now allowing Haggis into the country.

It is the birthday of our poet, Robert Burns, (and mine too) and after which many Burns Suppers are celebrated throughout the world. This is a tartan night with the mighty haggis being delivered to the top table and being recited by " The Address to the Haggis" and at the appropriate place, slashed by the speaker's dirk. After this it's haggis, neeps and tatties washed down with gallons of whisky and listening to loads of Burns poems. My favourite is Address to Toothache. How anyone could make light of toothache. Burns was a master in a class of his own.[:D]

I know about haggis, and I suppose tatties are potatos, but what is "neeps"?

Scotland's National hero and International Hero is Oor Baird Robert Burns.
Poetry collector of songs and in Japan: Canada; Russia, USA, China, THE WORLD is Scotland's
and Earth's MAN OF EARTH @'Every Man's Person' "A Man's A Man For A That".

Is there for honest poverty
That hings his head , an a' that?
The coward slave, we pass him by-
We dare be poor for a' that!
For a' that, an a' that,
Our toils obscure, an a' that,
The rank is but the guinea's stamp,
The man's the gowd for a' that.

A Man's A Man For A That
Look it up and understand we Scots !
