I AM RESEARCHING MY FAMILY HISTORY AND I DISCOVERED THAT MY GREAT GREAT GRANDFATHER - CHARLES D LLOYD LIVED IN HOWICK VILLAGE AND WORKED FOR THE EARL GREY ON HIS ESTATE AT HOWICK HALL GARDENS
AROUND THE 1860,S TO 1880,S ,

ANY INFORMATION ABOUT HOWICK IS APPRECIATED

Hi mrnicey,

It's always fascinating to hear about the "real" people who actually lived and worked in these wonderful old houses...

I'm afraid we don't have any information on Howick itself at the moment, but we do have a nice feature on Howick Hall & Gardens, with some nice pictures:

Just read this post and as someone who is also researching her 'Family Tree' . I thought the member who made the request MrNicey, may find that if he contacts Tyne and Wear Archives in Newcastle on Tyne, they maybe able to help in many ways with his research requests. cheers Katie
