I think we should encourage everyone to come to London!! There are so many amazing things to do here and with the 2012 games' preparations already underway it is an exciting time of change and regeneration.
Destinations off the traditional tourist beaten track can we wonderful - the area around Newham has something for everyone - fans of architecture can see the meridian sundial, fans of shopping can explore the vibrant Green Street and the whole family can enjoy Dicover, an interactive play centre on Stratford High Street.

Love
Mandy

When I check this morning £1 = $1.77 If this holds up I just might make it over there this spring. I have taken on a new client and am socking away some money. This could just be do-able. But most likely not London. I have been looking into East Anglia, maybe staying in Colechester, go to Norwich, Cambridge, Lavenham. It is fun planning. Any brillant ideas are welcome.

I wonder if that should read "Discover" ??

I couldn't agree more with your sentiments about London. I visited that City over 14 years ago and still have lasting memories of it.

In fact, it is my contention that, given the opportunity, I could spend a month there and not move much more than 20 miles from the centre of Town in that time, such is the range of activities.

However, there are the small matters causing obstructions to such an idea: being about 12 000 miles distant, a 26 hours-long flight to get there, and that stuff which nobody seems to have sufficient of, especially in these times, i.e. dosh.

Thankfully, dreams are free.....

Every time I read an article about London or visit a new site (like the one mentioned above) I learn about a new place I haven't seen. I am not sure even a month would do justice to "knowing" the city, though I would certainly love to give it a try. One of the ways I spend my lottery winnings (yeah right ) would be to get a flat and explore - you are right Ron - dreams are free but London certainly isn't.

You're certainly not wrong, there, marie.

But, there again, can anyone tell me of a place that isn't expensive ??
