So...who has seen "The Other Boleyn Girl" now that it's out on video? And, if you've seen it...what did you think?

I finally watched it in the safety and comfort of my own living room couch. And was I glad that's where the viewing happened. It was awful It was SO bad, that it isn't going to make it on my keep-it-forever Tudor book and movie shelf. OK, if somebody wanted to gift it to me, it would find a place but I ain't spendin' my own money. Loved the costumes, loved the scenery and settings, but the fact that Henry and Anne's 'affair' lasted all of 10 minutes was a hoot

So...who saw Episode 10, Season Two of "The Tudors"? I have yet to see it in full, but have caught slices (ah...joke there...Anne's neck ) on YouTube. I will purchase the entire second season and one day when the snow flies, as it can here in Northern Maine , I'll settle in with 10 episodes of an entirely unhistorical jaunt with Henry and his lady friends. I did see Anne get her neck wacked...it was done in a very graceful fashion.

Would LOVE to know what our GB forumites thought of The Tudors...that is, if it is/was available for viewing in the UK.

I saw Other Boleyn in the theatre when it first came out. The scenery and costumes were wonderful on the big screen. I must say, I enjoyed the book a lot more. the film is in my netflix list, but I have not pushed it up to top. so basically, I am wishy - washy about the whole thing.

For the record, I have not seen any of the Tudors. I figure since history is not my "thing", I am in no hurry to see - I would not know if it is historically correct or not.

I did not care for it much.
The TV series was good, what I seen of it.
I'm watching both DVDs of Elizabeth {Golden Age] last night.
And went to bed listening to Starkey on tv on why she was the Virgin Queen.

Did Starkey have first hand, personal information???? That's what I'm expecting from him next...an actual visit and an up-close chat with his favorite subjects.

I've yet to watch the second "Elizabeth" movie. It's here on DVD, too...so that might be something good for a snowy day.

Marie..watch "The Tudors". Not knowing a lot about British history you'd love the program just as a big 'ol primetime soap opera with gorgeous ladies, handsome men, bodice-ripping costumes (literally ) and beautiful Irish scenery.

Saki...gosh...short review

Shannon...go for it, when you have a free minute. It can't be a bad afternoon/evening if a bit of time is spent with Henry and his court.

Shouldn't that read "deppth" ?? I mean, History is quite a serious subject and, in most cases, very deep.
