Hello all.

I'm so excited. We're going to England for Christmas this year. I've got to book flights and find a self catering cottage but it's all happening. Friends in the UK are excited over there and I'm excited over here. I haven't been home in 5 years so guess what? I'M EXCITED!![p][p][p]

That's great news. [p] Do you need someone to carry your luggage? I am still in shape from my trip. [:D] Have you decided exactly where you will be going? Where exactly is "home"?

Well, my home is really the Lake District but latterly it's been towards London, Northamptonshire to be precise.
I have friends in this area so although it's not as scenic as the Lakes, it's where the warmest hearts are so we're heading of to be with friends at Christmas.

Market Harborough, Leicester to be precise.

Oh lord she coming home.....well at least the SAS have been put on red alert...lol Market Harborough is 86 miles away from where I live on the eastern side of the UK.

Well you will have a high old time won't you.

Only 86 miles Anglo? We should get to yours just in time for turkey and roast spuds.[:D]

Seriously, we'll have to catch up. I am bringing home my English born but NZ reared husband. The last time he was in the UK was 30 years ago so I'm hoping to show him all the upsides because I do want to move back home.

Maybe it would then be better to not drive the 86 miles [;)]

I've heard about some outfit that might be able to help you there.

I'm not sure but I think that it's called AboutBritain.com or some equally self-explanatory title.

Anyway, have a great trip. Heck, it's still 6 months away, yet - why the excitement ??

EDBH, I'm so happy for you.

Maybe once you've settled down, you might consider showing him Scotland and Ian and I could meet the pair if you![:D]

Thanks for all the invites to meet up, we'd love to. It's going to be an action packed trip, my poor husband will need a rest when he gets home.

I will struggle leaving my friends again but I have a feeling that it will only be for a short while. If Stephen loves England like I do, we'll be straight back.

Ron Hann -> RE: Going Home For Christmas. YES! (9 May 2008 10:05:22 )

So, how long do you intend being away ??

I'm really just asking on behalf of Anglo. I know that he'd probably be a bit windy to ask you.[6][6][:o][:o]

eatdrinkbehappy -> RE: Going Home For Christmas. YES! (13 May 2008 0:18:10 )

The plan is to go home for three weeks, see as much as possible and see if my husband thinks he can live there. If he can, we'll come back to Australia, sell up and move back home.

Sssh, don't tell Anglo. I want it to be a surprise. [6]
