From HBO/Channel 4

Second half is on tomorrow night. I thought it was brilliant. I have only one complaint, the effects of chopped off hands and heads were cheesy.

Helen Mirren ROCKED!

I agree, Shannon. Helen Mirren was GREAT!!
The torture scenes and especially the beheading of Mary Queen of Scots was very gruesome. If those types of events drew an enthusiastic crowd, how can anyone make the argument that our society is more violent today?

Oh come on no TV no radio no cinema only a good beheading to look forward to.
Or perhaps watching someone dangle with a rope around their neck struggling for breath.
But better a good quartering would bring out the crowds.

Get there early for the best seats with a mince pie and a bottle of wine a great day out for all the family.
