Hi everyone
10 years ago when the victorian kitchen and garden programmes were shown on TV Ruth Mott made a delicious 'chestnut and chocolate pudding.' I made it as an alternative to Christmas pudding but everyone ended up eating both!!
The children are desperate for me to make it again but I cannot find the recipe anywhere. There are videos available of the Victorian Kitchen but not of 'Country Christmas'.
Has anyone out there got a video of this programme, I think it is shown occasionally on UK tv food, or have you got the recipe ( I think it included Grand Marnier and it required no cooking)
I look forward to hearing from anyone who might be able to help.

cheers and Merry Christmas

Richard

That is fantastic, just what I was looking for. I can now make the pud for Christmas and bring back memories of 10 years ago.
Well done Ancient Mariner.

Hi. I'm also searching for Ruth Mott's recipes as well. Years ago the Good food magazine featured a couple of her recipes. It was based on Easter treats. there was this particular cake that I just loved but can't remember what it's called, one of the ingredients was ground almonds. I would be so grateful if someone has this recipe please. Thank you so much in advance.

Ruth is still alive - a very healthy 93 year old.
I'll ask her if she can let me have the recipe when I see her next.s
