Quenton, am I the only one who has trouble downloading the Desktop? I have just tried to get this week's one and have had no joy, again. Any simple solution to this recurring problem? It's not every week but it seems to be getting a bit more frequent of late.

I'm not receiving the desktop, either. It always does eventually come in at some point, though.

My desk top shows the latest pop group. Somehow I don't think it's anything to do with Quenton. I think it's my pain in the rear teenage son!
Quenton, how do I reinstall those lovely images of London?

It's fixed now - latest image is now available.

EDBH - to get the latest desktop, just follow the link marked British Desktops (on the left hand side of any page on the main site, or top left within the forums). Then right-click the picture and choose "set as background" from the popup menu.

CZJ......Remember when she was a short time contributor to this forum? She has since disappeared. Now, come to think of it AZ Cowboy hasn't been heard from in a while either. Could they be together? Nah....

That Welsh wench is certainly a cracker !

Far too distracting for a wallpaper piccy though.

While on the subject of the site, and I tried to post this last night, I was just browsing through the site and happened to come across something called Server Time (I think it was) and it showed a time of about 4 hours ahead of our local time, which is the earliest time available, being 12 hours ahead of Zulu. How can it show such an advanced time? or am I mis-reading it somehow?

Not sure - where did you see it?

The server is set to UK time - currently that's GMT.

Thanks Quenton! A screaming, snarling pop group making rude gestures on my computer is just not my idea of a great start to the day. It's almost as scary as a photo of Paps wearing a kilt.
I will install the far more tasteful views of London this am.

I'll see if I can find that part, again. I came across it purely by accident.

Quenton, have a look at the bottom of the calendar page. I just checked it and it is showing Current Server Time ( or something similar) as being 24th. March. Not around here, it ain't, mate.

Ron / Ian - the server date and time is exactly correct - GMT. (Ok, it's about 1 min 50 seconds fast).

I reckon what's happening is this: You can enter an adjustment into your profiles - so that you see the correct local time (for you) of each post. My guess is you've not changed this adjustment when the server moved from the US to the UK - so (for example) Ian's applying an adjustment, which is no longer needed, and Ron is probably applying 5 hours too much(?).

Take a look in your profiles, and let me know if that sorts it.

Will someone take a look at the desktop picture for this week? There is a round wooden disk in the center of the hutch in the background, resting in a black iron stand. It looks like there might be two knife handles sticking out of the top of it and a handle of some sort at about 2:00 on the disk. Can someone tell me what this is? I guessing a cheese press, maybe? It's driving me crazy. Short trip, I know.
